The practice is led by Buki Mariam (Olubukunola M. Animashaun), Executive Director of anne thomas technologies.

As a visual artist, Buki has spent years exploring memory, identity, archives, and the ways people create meaning through objects, stories, and lived experience. That same curiosity informs her work with organizations. Rather than seeing institutions as systems to optimize, she approaches them as living collections of people, knowledge, relationships, and culture.

Across her work runs a single question:

How do we build things that last?

Sometimes the answer is a clearer operational structure. Sometimes it is stronger governance, more thoughtful digital infrastructure, or better ways of preserving institutional knowledge.
